Toowoomba Kitchen Renovation

We had the pleasure of working with Athorn Building on this stunning Toowoomba renovation. The owner now has her dream house with a new kitchen, bathroom, ensuite, walk-in robe, laundry and TV unit and topped off with new flooring.

This beautiful client (Jackie) had recently sold her home. One day she went back to collect her mail and was blown away by the new kitchen we had installed for the new owners. Jackie decided then and there to buy an older home and have us work with her on renovating it to create the dream home she has always wanted.

The old kitchen was outdated and pokey with a horrible round support beam at the end of the bench. The new layout is much more open and user friendly and the modern colour selections have completely transformed the space. Unfortunately the support beam was still needed. We were able to incorporate the post into the island bench and wrap it with Laminex Honey Elm timber grain to match the overhead cupboards and create a gorgeous feature out of what was once an eyesore. We changed the post from round to square and mitred the edges to create a modern seamless finish. The rest of the kitchen features Smartstone Arcadia benchtops and Formica Asphalt joinery with Blum soft close hardware and a Blum dual soft close bin. Jackie’s selection of black appliances, sink and tap are the perfect accessories for this modern kitchen. A matching TV unit was also installed comprising of Formica Asphalt joinery with a Laminex Honey Elm benchtop.

All wet areas were completely renovated by Athorn Building and the final product is absolutely stunning. The bathroom, ensuite and powder now feature floating vanities with Flexipanel Designer White joinery, Laminex Honey Elm benchtops and Blum soft close hardware. The laundry also features matching joinery and the new layout has created extra storage and is now much more functional.

After seeing one of the photos on our website Jackie had her heart set on a new walk-in robe in a dark colour. The old robe was replaced with stunning new joinery in Flexipanel Black rustic and has added much needed storage to this room with single and double hanging and multiple soft close drawers.

Once again amazing quality work from Athorn Building and their team. We now have a beautiful modern Toowoomba home and a very happy client. Thanks Jackie for allowing us to help you create this beautiful space.
